New Zealand Embassy Buenos Aires, Argentina
Argentina Working Holiday Scheme
There are no more places available for the The Argentine Working Holiday Scheme 2009/10.
The scheme is a bilateral agreement between the governments of Argentina and New Zealand which sets a quota of 1000 places per year. A further 1000 places will become available in October 2010.
The quota of 1000 visas filled in aproximately 14 hours. Immigration New Zealand's Online system processed approximately 70 applications per hour. Many applicants experienced delays, or were unable to access the site, due to the extremely high number of people attempting to make applications.
New Zealand has popular and successful working holiday programme with 31 other countries. The interest from potential applicants is frequently much greater than the number of places available, and means that inevitably some people are disappointed.

Seasonal work permits may be available for people who are in New Zealand, who already hold Working Holiday Visas and can demonstrate that they have already spent at least 3 months working in the New Zealand horticulture or viticulture industries.
