Argentine Rugby Spirit in New Zealand Scholarship
This year, Santiago Sossich of the Quilmes Universitary Circle rugby club has gone down to New Zealand to play rugby for the St Bede’s 1st XV in the Canterbury Crusaders Press Cup Championship. Santiago has been playing rugby for the Quilmes club for seven years and normally plays Lock. At two metres tall he towers above most of his team mates.
The scholarship includes board, English lessons and rugby and weights training, as well as valuable experience in a New Zealand college rugby team.
This year St Bede’s was specifically looking for some of the Pumas spirit seen in the Rugby World Cup, to add a little “garra" to their team in a bid to win the championship.
