Australia: NSW Bush Fires
A state of emergency has been declared in New South Wales (NSW) as several bush fires burn. The Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, has been the worst-hit region.

New Zealanders in NSW are advised to follow any instructions issued by the NSW Rural Fire Service and other local authorities. New Zealanders in Australia, who have been significantly affected by the bush fires and meet certain eligibility criteria, can apply to receive emergency relief payments from the Australian Government.
