Flooding in Queensland and New South Wales

While flood waters are receding in many parts of Queensland and New South Wales, some areas are likely to remain affected by moderate flooding.

New Zealanders in affected areas of Queensland and New South Wales are advised to continue to monitor local media for information and follow any instructions issued by the local authorities, including evacuation orders or permission to return to homes and properties affected by the flooding.

We recommend you keep your family in New Zealand informed of your situation and register your details with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  If your travel has been disrupted as a result of the flooding, please contact your airline/travel agent and travel insurance company directly to make alternative arrangements.
