Kea Festival of Kiwi Short Films 2011

Kea proudly invites you to the fourth annual Kea Festival of Kiwi Short Films, once again showcasing world-class New Zealand cinema – in bite size portions. The festival will crisscross its way along the East Coast of Australia, screening in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Each screening will include drinks provided by our loyal partner Giesen Wines. Guests will also receive our now famous goodie bag, filled with a selection of gifts provided by our festival sponsors, who include successful New Zealand companies Mindfood Magazine, ABE’s Real Bagels, Anathoth jams and pickles & Charlie’s Juice.

The strength of the Kiwi short film industry has been recognised on the world stage in 2011 by the world’s premiere short film event. France’s Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival dedicated a retrospective to nearly 50 New Zealand short films spanning a generation.

The 2011 program has been carefully selected to bring you the best of the best from this cinematic goldmine, and will showcase a cross-section of the diversity, cultural richness, and irreverent humour that is New Zealand.
