Heavy rain as a result of ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald has led to severe flooding in parts of Queensland.  While flood levels in much of Queensland are expected to peak around midnight tonight, ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald is expected to move rapidly south through eastern New South Wales and be located near Sydney around midnight on Monday 28 January.  Heavy rainfall has already occurred in north east NSW and several flood warnings have been issued as the weather system moves south.  The flooding is not expected to be as severe as the flooding experienced in 2011.
