Working holiday scheme

New Zealand and the Slovak Republic signed a Working Holiday Scheme (WHS) on 14 June 2011. The Scheme will allow young New Zealanders and Slovaks to visit the other country for up to 12 months combining holiday with study opportunities and taking up temporary work to support these ambitions. There will be 100 places for each country. The WHS is not yet in operation and so applications for a WHS visa cannot yet be accepted.

Applications for Slovak citizens wanting to participate in the WHS will open at midnight New Zealand time on 17 April 2012.
