The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reviewed its travel advisory for Belgium following the terrorist attacks in Paris on 13 November 2015.  There is no change to our risk level.

The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reviewed its travel advisory for Belgium due to the ongoing threat from terrorism. 


Foreign Minister Murray McCully today welcomed New Zealand taking up its seat as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

“New Zealand’s term on the Security Council will place us at the heart of international decision-making for the next two years,” Mr McCully says.

“The Security Council is currently considering some of the most pressing issues the international community faces, including; the dire humanitarian situation in Syria, ISIL, and Ebola.


The achievements of New Zealand's most celebrated expatriate artist, Frances Hodgkins (1869-1947) will be at the world's fingertips, thanks to generous funding from the Stout Trust.


The 4th European Union-New Zealand Joint Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in Wellington on 8-9 December 2014.
