MFA McCully visits Brussels

Foreign Minister McCully met with HR/VP Baroness Ashton while in Brussels last month.

During their meeting, the Foreign Minister and Baroness Ashton discussed the Middle East, following Minister McCully's visit to Teheran the week before.

Both noted with satisfaction a quickly expanding NZ-EU bilateral relationship and progress in negotiations for an overarching Partnership Agreement on Relations and Cooperation (PARC), with prospects for the negotiations to conclude soon.

On the Asia-Pacific region the HR/VP and Minister McCully discussed Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Myanmar as well as the forthcoming high level meetings of the regional fora.
