Rugby Bible off to Passchendaele

The holy grail of rugby manuals is being sent by New Zealand to the Passchendaele Memorial Museum, which is reopening on 12 July 2013 after painstaking redevelopments.

The book, The Complete Rugby Footballer, was written by celebrated All Blacks Captain Dave Gallaher and vice-captain Billy Stead in 1906 after the historic 1905-06 tour of Great Britain and France where the All Blacks played 33 games and only lost one match.

In honor of the reopening of the Passchendaele Memorial Museum, the book as well as several other artifacts, is being loaned by New Zealand to the Belgian town where Dave Gallaher was killed in battle in 1917.

Find out more about the loan, and the museum, here.
