New Zealand Aid Programme Scholarships

New Zealand Qualification Authority

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is the government body that co-ordinates national qualifications. It runs schools, trades and vocational examinations and is responsible for developing a national qualifications framework and approving non-university degrees.

The Qualifications Authority also compares and assesses overseas qualifications to determine the equivalent in New Zealand. This user-pays service is generally of use to new immigrants to New Zealand and international students studying for a post-graduate qualification.

It has useful information on the qualifications system in New Zealand including providers and courses.

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships

The New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS) are funded by the New Zealand Government. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit. The NZIDRS provides full tuition fees, plus living and other allowances for successful applicants. Up to ten scholarships are awarded each year.

Applications for the 2013 NZDIRS scholarship round are now open. Applications close on Monday 15 July 2013.
