Services and fees

Staff at this Embassy is able to witness Affidavits, Affirmations, Statutory Declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law. The witnessing must take place at the New Zealand Embassy, in Brasília.

The fees for these and other legalisation services are:

Certifying documents as true copies of the original (eg. birth or marriage certificates):
R$40.00

Issuing consular letters, issuing consular certificates, taking affidavits, affirmations or statutory declarations (document prepared by solicitor or applicant):
R$80.00

Witnessing signatures on documents (eg. wills, power of attorney, land transfer deeds):
R$80.00

Verifying local foreign ministry signature/seal on foreign documents for use in New Zealand:
R$80.00

Verifying Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade signature/seal and translation on documents for use overseas which have been forwarded by the Ministry's Consular Division, or direct by the client, for passing to a foreign mission:
R$120.00

Issuance of an Emergency Travel Document (ETD):
NZ$350.00

All fees are to be paid in Reais. We accept cash or Brazilian cheques.
We do not accept payment by Credit Card or New Zealand cheques.
