The organism is confirmed as Clostridium sporogenes. It is therefore not capable of producing botulism causing toxins.

The New Zealand Ambassador, Jeffrey McAlister, is supporting the Red Cross Committee in Brasilia (CVBB) to build a centre for identifying environmental risks in the Federal District. The Centre’s objective is to gather and assess information on areas of potential environmental risk in order to act preventively against natural disasters.
