New Zealand Inc sponsors Rugby Sevens Tournament in Sao Paulo, 10 – 11 December 2011

The Consulate General in Sao Paulo partnererd with Education New Zealand and New Zealand kiwifruit cooperative Zespri's Latin American office to mount a New Zealand stand at the Sao Paulo Rugby Sevens the weekend of 10 - 11 December. 

The tournament attracted 650 players from all over Brazil and neighbouring countries, together with around 1,000 spectators each day for the two days.  Consul General Jeff McAlister handed over some of the prizes to the winning teams.
