New Zealand Embassy Brasilia, Brazil

New Zealand promotes Kiwi fruit in Brasilia

School teacher Camila and William, fair participant

The Embassy joined Zespri for a New Zealand promotion in Brasilia on 23 March at the American School’s Global Awareness Fair.

The school’s four year old class was responsible for mounting a stand on New Zealand which featured as well as Zespri green kiwifruit, a Māori maiden (school teacher, Camila), a woman All Black (school teacher, Fernanda), and international education and tourism promotional material.  The kiwifruit sold like hotcakes, with all packets gone before the end of the fair, while the Māori maiden was a favourite character for photo-stops by fair goers (picture).

Zespri is building its presence in Brazil with sales of kiwifruit growing strongly as Brazilians appreciate the great taste and nutritional value of the vitamin-packed.
