The Consulate General co-sponsored a mini-Rugby World Cup tournament for kids in Sao Paulo on 15 October.  The tournament was organised by one of the city's main rugby clubs and co-sponsored by a number of major Brazilian and foreign companies. 


Our Government recognises Brazil is an emerging global power.  We also see significant opportunities here for New Zealand business, both for trade and investment.  New Zealand is committed to strengthening our bilateral relationship with Brazil, and to this end has enhanced its representation here.  The size of our Consulate General in Sao Paulo has doubled over the last year.


The Consulate General in Sao Paulo partnererd with Education New Zealand and New Zealand kiwifruit cooperative Zespri's Latin American office to mount a New Zealand stand at the Sao Paulo Rugby Sevens the weekend of 10 - 11 December.
