The New Zealand Embassy in Mexico is seeking an Administration Manager to be responsible for the overall administration of our Embassy.
In this busy position, you will manage a small team of administration and consular staff to support the delivery of the Post’s strategic outputs.  You will ensure office processes and systems run smoothly, take charge of budget management and ensure compliance with all process guidelines and internal controls.  You will manage Embassy properties, ensuring cost efficient contracts run smoothly.  You will also provide basic HR guidance and administration assistance to our Ambassador and Deputy Head of Mission.
You will have significant experience in office administration and team management, and be comfortable working as part of a team.  You will also need to demonstrate strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, relationship building skills, customer focus and attention to detail.  In particular the ability to build working relationships with off-shore teams will be key.  The Embassy has a preference for New Zealand, Australian, Canadian, United Kingdom and United States citizens who can obtain a New Zealand Government security clearance, but all applicants will be considered.
The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions and must have the right to work legally in Mexico.  Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate working visa is the responsibility of the applicant and any offer of employment is subject to this.  In addition, relocation to Mexico City is to be undertaken at the expense of the applicant.
