The receiving office for New Zealand visa applications is about to change. From 27 November 2012, applications can no longer be lodged with the New Zealand High Commission in Ottawa, and instead need to be sent to the New Zealand Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Washington D.C.

New Zealanders in the United States may be aware the National Hurricane Centre (NHC) has issued an alert for Hurricane Sandy, a Category 1 hurricane currently located off the Eastern coast of the United States.  A hurricane warning is in effect for much of the Eastern United States.
