Volcanic ash clouds from an eruption in Iceland have disrupted flights throughout much of Europe.  It is not known when airspace restrictions will be lifted allowing flights to resume.  Check the Safetravel site for more information.

Prime Minister John Key leaves for the US next week for the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington (12/13 April).

One objective of this Summit is to focus attention at the highest levels of government on the threat of nuclear terrorism.

Good morning and thank you for inviting me to speak to you today.  It’s a pleasure to be able to support this conference.
