New Zealand and Canada

New Zealand maintains a longstanding and close relationship with Canada. Even with thousands of miles separating the two countries geographically, the evolution of both countries has meant a likeminded view of the world has developed in a great many areas. Whether it be through their involvement in international organisations such as the United Nations or the Commonwealth, business/trade relations or reciprocal treaty arrangements in areas of social policy, New Zealand/Canada relations are extremely important to both countries.

Further information about both countries' relationships can be found through the Canada information paper on the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website or through the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
