The Māori Electoral Option gives New Zealanders of Māori descent the opportunity to choose whether they want to be on the Māori Electoral Roll or the General Electoral Roll when they vote in the next two General Elections.
After visiting Mexico and Colombia, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt Hon John Key, arrived along with the delegation in Santiago on 7 March. The Royal New Zealand Air Force plane landed with a beautiful orange sky as backdrop and was received by a Chilean guard with a formal welcome.
On March 6, Rt Hon John Key and delegation arrived in Bogota for the first visit of a New Zealand Prime Minister to Colombia. The day started with the First Colombia – New Zealand Business Seminar at Club El Nogal, which was organised by the Embassy and NZTE with the support of ProExport and ANDI from Colombia.
