Becas Chile Technical Scholarships

The Becas Chile “Técnicos para Chile" programme offers up to 12 months study courses for enhancing technical expertise at New Zealand technology and polytechnics institutions, the contents of the courses are directly linked with industry. These study programmes also include courses in English language, since most of the programmes require a minimum score of 5.5 on the IELTS test.

For the first round, 11 programmes at New Zealand institutions are on offer, although this are likely to be expanded in subsequent rounds. New Zealand offers high quality, internationally recognised education. The Quality Assurance of New Zealand’s education system is constantly reviewed and guaranteed by specialised agencies of the New Zealand Government (NZQA and ITPQ).

Steps for applying for Becas Chile Technical Scholarships

The application process is divided into two stages.

Stage 1:

The candidate must complete an online application as directed at the Becas Chile website

The results of the round with the list of those selected will be available on the Becas Chile website from 14 June 2010 and no later than 17 June 2010.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to:

  1. Read all the conditions and rules pertaining to scholarship process
  2. Complete the application form correctly
  3. Send the required documents by the dates stipulated

Stage 2:

Once you have been selected and have chosen a program in New Zealand among your three choices, representatives of the technical program for Chile in conjunction with the nominated agency in Chile, New Zealand Global, will help you and guide you through these processes.
