Chile/New Zealand Energy Cooperation

Chile's Minister of Energy, Dr Ricardo Raineri Bernain, visited New Zealand 21 - 22 June. During the visit, he met with Energy and Resources Minister Hon Gerry Brownlee in Wellington. Among other things, the Ministers discussed theTrans Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement, the importance of energy diversity and security for economic growth, energy efficiency, and the growing commercial partnerships between New Zealand and Chile in the energy sector. The Ministers released a joint statement on energy cooperation between the two countries.
