Cooperation on Wetlands and Peatlands Conservation

Experts from New Zealand and Chile recently met in Chile to share experiences and knowledge on the conservation and management of wetlands and peat lands.

This included presentations at an International Seminar on Freshwater Ecosystems ("Ecosistemas Acuaticos Continentales y las actividades productivas, impresendible coordinacion") organised by the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministy of Environment, Centre of Applied Ecology, Domeyko Programme and the University of Chile. The visit by three officials from New Zealand’s Department of Conservation was made possible by the Environmental Cooperation Agreement under the Transpacific-Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement.
