Opportunties for NZ Businesses in Peru

The Embassy has commissioned a report on business opportunities in Peru from the International Trade Association of Peru (COMEXPERU).
 
New Zealand and Peru are currently negotiating a free trade agreement as part of the Trans Pacific Partnership, which will increase the opportunities available to New Zealand businesses in this market. For the latest on these negotiations see: www.mfat.govt.nz/tpptalk.
 
The report provides information on doing business in Peru and explains Peru’s advantages for investors including: location; a strong network of free trade agreements; reasonable labor costs; an abundance of natural resources, and a friendly investment environment. Opportunities for New Zealand businesses are indentified in specialised services for industries pivotal to Peru’s economy in which New Zealand has expertise such as agriculture, forestry, energy.
