Prominent DairyNZ researcher visited Chile to participate of a Seminar on dairy production

Doctor John Roche visited Chile last week to hold meetings with representatives of the dairy industry and participate of the Second Seminar on Cattle Production “Progress in the use of pasture and strategic supplementation in milk production”, carried out in Osorno and organised by Santo Tomas University and APROLECHE.

Prior to his trip to Osorno, Dr. Roche spent a day in Santiago during which he held meetings with authorities from the Ministry of Agriculture including ODEPA and Biosecurity Agency SAG the National Agricultural Society and representatives of FEDELECHE.
Apart from his work for Dairy NZ, Dr. Roche is Executive Director of Down to Earth Advice ltd., an Adjunct Professor of Animal Science at Lincoln University in New Zealand’s South Island, and a Principal Investigator at University of Tasmania in Australia.
