Visit to New Zealand focuses on Water Management and Irrigation Technologies

A delegation of representatives from Chile’s National Society for Agriculture (SNA), Ministry of Agriculture (SEREMI) and National Irrigation Commission (CNR) took full advantage of their visit to New Zealand in March. The visit focused on discussing how best to manage freshwater, and how advanced technologies could improve the management of water and irrigation. Detailed discussions were held with counterpart authorities and the Chilean delegation had the opportunity to meet with scientists from New Zealand research centres GNS, NIWA, AgResearch, and Lincoln University as well as see the technologies available from the New Zealand Companies Aqualinc Research Limited (www.aqualinc.co.nz) and Outpost Central (www.outpostcentral.com).
