Doctor John Roche visited Chile last week to hold meetings with representatives of the dairy industry and participate of the Second Seminar on Cattle Production “Progress in the use of pasture and strategic supplementation in milk production”, carried out in Osorno and organised by Santo Tomas University and APROLECHE.


New Zealand Ambassador, John Capper, presented credentials in Peru on 18 September in a ceremony in which he shared with his counterparts from Egypt, Qatar, Colombia and Ecuador. The celebration of this ceremony finalised his appointment as the Ambassador of New Zealand for Peru.


Both leaders met for lunch during the APEC summit recently held in Vladivostok, Russia. During the meeting they discussed various topics in particular TPP negotiations, a free trade agreement that has the potential of becoming a platform for wider regional economic integration. During early September Sean Hutchinson, Global Sales General Manager for Yealands Vineyard visited Chile. During his stay, Mr. Hutchinson held meetings with local wineindustry representatives in order to strengthen commercial ties.


Nicky Spicer from the International Department of the University of Auckland will give an Information Seminar on 4 September at 18:30hrs at the Intercontinental Hotel, located on Avenida Vitacura 2885.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday 14th August at Salón O’Higgins, La Moneda Palace.
