Consul-General To Guangzhou Announced
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully today announced the appointment of diplomat Rebecca Needham as New Zealand’s Consul-General in Guangzhou, China.
Ms Needham will be the first Guangzhou Consul-General to be appointed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The post has until now been managed by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Prime Minister visits China 6 – 12 April
The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Rt Hon John Key, is visiting China, 6-7 April, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between New Zealand and China, as well as the 5th anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement. He is accompanied by one of the largest delegations to travel offshore with a New Zealand Prime Minister. Further information can be found at the following websites:
