Curiosity by Connie Aldao-Worker

On 7 March Counsellor Le Aimei, wife of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, presided over the opening ceremony of "China in my Eyes", a photographic exhibition of work submitted by female diplomats and spouses in celebration of International Women's Day at China's Capital Museum in Beijing.

During the ceremony, the judges awarded Connie Aldao-Worker, partner of New Zealand Ambassador Carl Worker, the special prize at the exhibition for her photograph "Curiosity". The photograph features her two children Oliver and Nicholas Worker and Gaby Guermanoff-Lowe, daughter of former Education Counsellor Guergana Guermanoff.

The work was recognised by the judges from amongst over 200 other photographs for its "richness and fullness in colour, unique perspective, professional skill and rich emotions".
