New Zealand High Commission Rarotonga, Cook Islands

Nikao brass band members try out their new instruments funded by the NZ High Commission Fund.

The New Zealand High Commission Fund (NZHCF) supports small scale, short-term community projects that contribute to wider community wellbeing. The projects must be in line with the New Zealand Aid Programmes mission of:

Sustainable development in developing countries, in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world.

The fund is aimed primarily at community groups and NGOs but other types of organisations e.g. schools, business associations may apply. The fund does not support individual businesses.

A Completed application form (attachment below) with supporting documentation should be submitted. If the application is to request for resources, an itemised invoice or quote is a requirement.

The New Zealand High Commission fund is a small pool of money which can only support between 8-10 applications each financial year from 1 July to 30 June of the following year.

Applications are assessed and considered at four selection rounds which take place at the end of July, October, January and April.

For more information please contact Gloria Rarere-Tinirau New Zealand High Commission Fund Coordinator via email: or phone: +682 22-201 ext.
