What the Embassy does

Kia Ora, welcome to the website of the New Zealand Embassy in Cairo.

The New Zealand Embassy is charged with carrying out the New Zealand Government's business with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab League. We also represent New Zealand's interests Libya, Morocco, Algeria and Tunsia.

The focus of the Embassy's work is managing New Zealand's political, economic, trade, security and other relations with the countries and organisations of accreditation.

If you are a New Zealander, you may be visiting the website to check out our consular services, relating to such matters as pasports and emergency assistance. Non-New Zealanders may be seeking advice on visiting or working in New Zealand, including how to obtain a visa for New Zealand. The New Zealand Embassy in Cairo accepts visitor, work and study visa applications from Egyptian citizens and nationals of other countries who are resident in Egypt.
