The New Zealand Embassy is able to provide the notarial services listed below. If you need to use these services, please contact the Embassy to make an appointment.
Affidavits and Statutory Declarations
Legal documents such as affidavits and statutory declarations required for use in New Zealand can be witnessed at the Embassy. Documents for this purpose need to be prepared by a lawyer who will provide you with detailed instructions on what to do. You are required to sign the document in person in front of an authorised New Zealand Embassy officer.
If you require this service you will need to bring the prepared affidavit or declaration, the instructions from your legal advisor, and two forms of identity including your passport. The fee for this service is EGP 360 per document.
Certified True Copies
Copies of original documents such as certificates can be certified as true copies. If you require this service you need to produce the original of the document to be copied. This service costs EGP 180 per certified copy
Authentication or Legalisation of Signatures
The Embassy is able to verify signatures on documents that have been authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Wellington. The process for authentication of documents in New Zealand is available on the Department of Internal Affairs website.
The fee for this servive is EGP 540.
