New Zealand Embassy Cairo, Egypt

Warden network

The New Zealand Embassy in Cairo is currently setting up a ward system for New Zealanders resident in Egypt.

This is a network linking the Embassy with the New Zealand community. It is used primarily for putting New Zealanders living in the same area in contact with each other so that in the event of an emergency for example, there is a network that can help provide individuals with support, advice and assistance. Each ward is headed by a warden who has volunteered their services to coordinate the ward in conjunction with the Embassy. They are also responsible for passing on to you important information and consular advice that will be circulated from time to time by the Embassy.

If you haven't done so already we urge you to complete or update your online registration at www.safetravel.govt.nz as soon as possible. To enable us to allocate you to the appropriate ward it is essential that you complete the destination section details in full.

If you are unable to register on-line, please contact us to discuss the options for registration.

We would emphasise that registration and participation in the ward system is voluntary. Any personal information provided in your registration will be held, used and disclosed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and its overseas posts for consular and emergency purposes only and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993.
