ANZAC dawn service held in Suva
The New Zealand and Australian High Commissions hosted the 2011 ANZAC day dawn service at the New Zealand Official Residence on Monday 25 April.
The ceremony marked the 96th anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli.
Over 100 people attended the event, including representatives of the Fiji Returned Soldiers and Ex-Servicemen’s Association and diplomatic missions.
New Zealand’s Acting Head of Mission Phillip Taula and Australian Acting High Commissioner Judith Robinson both addressed the ceremony and led the wreath laying.
The service concluded with the traditional gun fire breakfast at the Residence.
