In 1999, the governments of New Zealand and France launched the France/New Zealand Working Holiday Scheme, allowing 18-30 year olds from one country to undertake a 12-month working holiday in the other country. Over 30,000 young French people have experienced New Zealand through a Working Holiday Visa since the scheme commenced.

If you are a French passport holder, you can apply online for a Working Holiday Visa for New Zealand.

If you are a New Zealand passport holder and want to apply for a Working Holiday Visa for France, you will need to lodge your application with the Embassy of France in Wellington.
