Launch of African Union Handbook in Paris

Ngati Ranana performing at the African Union Handbook launch

The launch of the African Union Handbook, hosted by the New Zealand Ambassador to France, Rosemary Banks, was held in Paris on 8 April.

The function was a success, with high attendance from Francophone and African Ambassadors and a range of French contacts. Special guest African Union Ambassador, Jean-Marie Ehouzou, joined the Ambassador in giving an introductory welcome. Guests were very impressed by the AU Handbook and supportive of New Zealand’s collaboration with the African Union. The performance from the London-based cultural group Ngati Ranana was well received by attendees and introduced them to Māori culture through a Kōrero, Waiata and a haka.
