New Zealand Embassy Berlin, Germany

Ambassador Peter Rider talking to the NZ2Go Blog

In another display of "public diplomacy" Peter Rider last month talked to Peter Pieruschka, editor of, the leading German-speaking blog on New Zealand economic, social and cultural matters.

The interview covered a wide range of topics including practical bilateral issues such as a Germany - New Zealand social security agreement and dual citizenship for German nationals living in New Zealand, upbeat trends in temporary migration to New Zealand by thousands of German students and working holiday makers, as well as more mundane matters like Germany's surprising almighty role in New Zealand's venison market, or the blessings of visiting New Zealand's world-famous 90-Mile-Beach.
