Changes to New Zealand Business Visas

A  number of changes are being made to business migration policies to encourage more high calibre migrants to come to New Zealand.

From March 2014 the current Long Term Business Visa will be replaced with a new Entrepreneur Work Visa.  A new points system, including extra points for investing in the regions,  will be introduced.  Applicants will also require a minimum capital investment of $100,000 to ensure that they can create high growth and innovative businesses, ideally with export potential.

The current Long Term Business Visa will be closed at 4pm New Zealand time on Friday 20 December (4 am German time).  Applications already lodged under the current policy will continue to be processed under that policy.
