FIFA Women's Soccer World Cup 2011

The FIFA Women's Soccer World Cup is scheduled to take place between 26 June and 17 July 2011 in Germany. World Cup information can be found on the official website. (Click here for information on the New Zealand team!)

New Zealanders travelling to the World Cup are advised to register their travel plans online on www.safetravel.govt.nz so that we can contact you in an emergency. This website also includes information on the latest travel advisories by region and country, a travel checklist, information on passports and visas, and advice about what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade can help with should something go wrong.

New Zealanders attending the events need to be aware of the high incidence of petty crime in many European countries especially during the summer months.  Experienced criminals often work in organised groups and frequent tourist areas and major attractions. It is important to look after your bags, wallets and passport.

If you require consular assistance while in Germany, please contact the New Zealand Embassy in Berlin and ask to speak to a consular officer.
