Golden Shears 2012

New Zealand is hosting the 2012 World Shearing and Wool-handling championship between the 29th February and 3rd March 2012.

The 4-day event is taking place in Masterton, a centre for New Zealand sheep farming - only a couple of hours drive from Wellington. It is a spectacular event that will attract many local visitors as well as those from further afield.

Participants from the following countries have already registered: Australia, Canada, Chile, Cook Islands, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lesotho, Niue, Norway, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and USA.
