Waitangi Day 2012

The New Zealand community in Germany celebrated Waitangi Day at Wagner + Partner Gallery in  Berlin on Saturday, 4 February. New Zealand chef Shannon Campbell served up a delicious New Zealand  inspired  menu to Ambassador Peter Rider and the 40 Kiwis in attendance. The event celebrates New Zealand's national day, Waitangi Day, which actually takes place on 6 February each year and commemorates the 1840 signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. This is the third year that the event has been held.
