New Zealand Consulate-General Hong Kong

Cocktail Reception to Launch "Home, Away, Elsewhere" with New Zealand Poet, Vaughan Rapatahana, 25 November

The New Zealand Consulate-General is hosting a Cocktail Reception on Friday 25 November (6.00-7.30 pm) to launch "Home, Away, Elsewhere" with New Zealand Poet, Vaughan Rapatahana, in association with Proverse Hong Kong.

Those interested should email <karenl.wong@mfat.govt.nz> for an invitation before 14 November 2011.

Vaughan Rapatahana is a New Zealander who now lives and works in Hong Kong.  His third collection of poems is about the places he has lived and reflections on a life lived elsewhere.
“These poems are pieces of an intricately interlinked multi-cultural and multi-lingual world… the poet relishes this confusing richness.” - Muhammed Haji Salleh, Nobel Laureate Malaysia

Vaughan was a semi-finalist in the inaugural Proverse Prize in Literature in 2009.

More details on the book are available from www.proversepublishing.com/authors/rapatahana_vaughan
