New Zealand novelists at The 2010 Man Hong Kong Literary Festival (11-19 March)

The 2010 Man Hong Kong Literary Festival (11-19 March), which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, will be attended by two New Zealand novelists: Emily Perkins ('About My Wife') and Mo Zhi Hong ('The Year of the Shanghai Shark'), as part of a line up of 35 award-winning international authors. The New Zealand-Australian Investment Forum

The New Zealand – Australia Investment Forum will be held in the Hyatt Regency, Auckland, New Zealand on the 10 and 11 March 2010.

The Forum is designed to maximise connections and help investors and investment-ready companies to meet the right people. International Design Ideas Competition for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities

The Highways Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is calling for entries for The International Design Ideas Competition for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities (HKBCF). The competition aims to gather design ideas for the HKBCF and encourage public participation in the design of new boundary crossing facilities.

Silver Fern visa to target talented graduates

Minister of Immigration Hon Jonathan Coleman has announced a new Silver Fern visa on 25 November 2009, which will attract young highly skilled people to work long term in New Zealand. There will be an initial limit of 300 places and the policy specifically targets people aged between 20 and 35 years old.

New style ePassport released

Minister of Internal Affairs Nathan Guy has announced the roll-out of a new style of ePassport from 23 November 2009, containing new artwork and security features.

This new style of passport will be gradually phased in over the next few months. Both the new and existing passports are secure, valid and equally accepted.

The application fee for a new passport remains unchanged.
