Consular and Notarial Services
The New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta can witness signatures on documents; take an affidavit, affirmation, or statutory declaration; and certify as a 'true copy'  some official documents for use under New Zealand law.

This service is available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY each  Tuesday and Thursday from 10am - 12 noon

Please note the following:
• The Embassy reserves the right to not sign any document the client does not fully understand.
• The New Zealand Embassy does not provide legal services or advice on legal documents.
• We cannot certify photocopies - originals must be presented.
• Documents must be accurately presented, and the client must be clear on their particular requirements.
• It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the receiving organisation will accept documents witnessed or certified by the Embassy.

Fees
The costs of these services was reviewed in 2013 and the following price list is still current as of November 2014:
• To certify a true copy of a document (i.e. a birth certificate or passport)
Cost:  IDR 220,000 for the first copy / IDR 110,000 for each additional copy of the same document.
• To have your document witnessed, to swear an affidavit, affirmation or to make a statutory declaration (i.e. wills, power of attorney, land transfer deeds)
Cost:  IDR  440,000 for the first document / IDR 220,000 for each additional document
• Please note: Bring your passport or photo drivers licence with you as ID and confirmation of your signature.
Fees are payable by cash.  There are no credit or debit card facilities available.
