Passport security

Do always keep your passport in a secure place.
Do report the loss or theft of your passport immediately to the Police and obtain a police report.
Do take photocopies of your passport biodata page, your driver's licence and credit card and keep them separately so that you will have some means of identification if you lose your passport overseas.

Do Not hand over your passport as a guarantee.
Do Not give your passport to a travel agent to arrange visas unless you are dealing with a reputable company.
Do Not give your passport to your employer for safekeeping.
