Ambassador Taylor showcases fine New Zealand food and wine

New Zealand’s Ambassador to Jakarta David Taylor, kiwi chef Phillip Davenport of Ku De Ta restaurant in Bali and Indonesian chef Kelana, filmed a cooking demonstration in May for Metro TV’s “Menu & Venue”.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase New Zealand’s outstanding produce available in Indonesia – and the dishes produced by the chefs were delicious,” said David Taylor.

The episode will also include a traditional dance or “haka,” performed by New Zealander Shane Boyd, who is based in Jakarta and coaches local schools in traditional Maori performing arts.

But New Zealand lamb, kiwifruit, ice cream, wine, honey and dairy product play the starring role in the cooking show, to be screened on Metro TV in July. Metro TV is a leading Indonesian station.
