Kadin-New Zealand Business Seminar

Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key delivers the keynote speech

During the recent official visit to Indonesia by Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key, a business seminar was jointly held by KADIN (the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and the New Zealand government (the Embassy and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, NZTE).

The theme of the seminar was "Building Stronger Business Partnerships" and the seminar was opened by Kadin Chair Suryo Bambang Sulisto.  Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key delivered the keynote speech "New Zealand as a Business Partner" and Indonesian Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan also spoke.  The seminar provided information to senior Indonesian and New Zealand businesspeople about the significant business, trade and investment opportunities in each other's country.  The seminar was followed by break-out discussions which provided an excellent opportunity for both sides to discuss ways to create closer business partnerships in four specific sectors - including food and beverage/agriculture, geothermal energy, education, and aviation/tourism.
