Nairobi Trio, featuring Jonas Julio, to perform at Java Jazz 2011

 With support from the New Zealand Embassy, the Nairobi Trio will perform at the 2011 Java Jazz Festival, 4-6 March, alongside Indonesian guitar legend Jonas Julio. The Trio – New Zealand ’s premier jazz ensemble – will also play a free performance at Paramadina University at 5pm on 3 March.

Since their inception in 1989, Nairobi Trio have become New Zealand's favourite jazz band, touring regularly throughout the world, appearing at major festivals in New Zealand, the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia. Now in their 21st year together, Nairobi Trio are more passionate about their music than ever. They have released a total of eight albums together.
