Last week, NZ Ambassador David Taylor, accompanied by NZ Embassy Political Officer David Treacher, visited the office of KontraS (the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence) to attend the handover ceremony of equipment assistance for this human rights group.

Since 1998, Indonesia has been transforming into a mature democracy. New Zealand is delighted to have been involved in this transformation process by supporting Indonesian government agencies, such as the Indonesian National Police through our community policing and capacity building programmes, as well as prominent civil society groups, like KontraS.
